How to Use Loc Tool to tighten your locs
step 1. Part your hair into managable sections and you may use a hair clip or rubber bands to hold locs in place for easier handling and less snagging.
step 2. Use one strand of loc at a time and thread thru the opening (the head) of the loc tool. Now take the point of the loc tool and thread or re-loop the loc thru your un-locked hair – the new growth (close to your scalp). You have just interlocked your hair.
step 3. Keep hair in loc tool and repeat step 2. in a clockwise fashion multiple times at different points within the patch of new growth. Continue this interlocking until the loc is at your desired tightness.
step 4. Go back to step 1. for each loc you wish to tighten.
How to Use Loc Tool to start your Dreadlocks – Dreads – Interlocking Method
**On freshly washed and dried hair:
step 1. Section off your whole head into 6-8 sections. Use rubber bands to hold hair in place.
step 2. You will need to decide on the size of the diameter of your locs. Using a fine tooth comb, pull from the “rubberbanded” hair sections…the neccessary amount of hair to create the size loc you want. Now “Two Strand” twist this hair by hand, until the loc takes on body and sufficient thickness. Take the end of the hair and thread thru loc tool. Now take the point of the loc tool and thread or re- loop the loc tool thru the un-twisted hair at the base (close to your scalp).
step 3. Keep hair in loc tool and repeat step 2. in a clockwise fashion multiple times at different points within the patch of hair. Continue this interlocking until the loc is at your desired tightness.
step 4. Go back to step 2. for each loc you wish to install.
